Re: Tiny Tetramoriam Queen
Doesn't look like Tetramorium to me. That head is too shiny.

Re: Tiny Tetramoriam Queen
Yeah, I'm not convinced that is tetramorium. Too shiny, and too roundish shaped. Teteramorium almost have more rectangular features if that makes any sense. Can we see more pictures of her? Also a measurement and location.AntsSA wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2017 7:49 amI caught a queen last Wednesday

Proverbs 6:6-11
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

It kinda resembles my Tapinoma sessile Queen. I'm probably wrong though LOL.

A 5 millimeter Tapinoma queen would be huge.

Re: Tiny Tetramoriam Queen
Tapinoma queens average at about 4.5mm, so that's a bit of an exaggeration. Definitely the wrong subfamily, though.
