tetramorium journal
Re: tetramorium journal
When the ants are born, are they dark, or are they light color and then darken later? I have watched videos of other ants that are born white or yellowish and then turn brown or black or whatever. It didn't occur to me before that ants would be born any color but what you see them as walking around.

Ants first emerge a very light tan color. Over the first several days they will darken to their final shade.SpeciesK wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2017 10:55 amWhen the ants are born, are they dark, or are they light color and then darken later? Proverbs 6:6-11
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
