You said they are of the same colony...how can you be so sure? If you got them out of their nest b4 flying then odds are they aren't fertile. Yes they will still lay eggs but they will only be males.

Y'all are lucky I found 2 Lasius interjectus queens last week which are parasite queens so I let them go. I want a Camponotus penn. and castenaus but no luck yet.

Budget formicarium and cheaper outworld are in the works! I don't have a timeframe other than this year sometime.
